Vodacom recently launched an online and mobile campaign called Vodacom Fame, based on Beyonce’s Single Ladies hit song and music video. The competition asks users to submit a video of their own Single Ladies interpretation and vote for their favourites, all in the name of being ‘internet famous’ and winning a whole bunch of prizes (over R500k’s worth).
While digital agency Stonewall designed and runs the site, Zoopy powers the video components of the campaign via a custom API - from uploading and conversion through to delivery and commenting.

Note: Some downtime was experienced on 14 July 2009 due to a Telkom cable break, which unfortunately affected the service delivered by our hosting provider Vodacom Business. This downtime had nothing to do with Zoopy’s performance and was completely beyond our control.
